SordidLiveStream Benefit

THIS SIDE OF CRAZY

As Program Director of the Del Shores Foundation, Emerson produced, hosted and acted in a benefit livestream reading of Sordid Lives for 23 non-profit theatres that are shut down or struggling during the pandemic. The reading starred many of the original film cast including Leslie Jordan, Beth Grant, Bonnie Bedelia Beau Bridges and a video message from Olivia Newton-John with a live performance from Tony winner Levi Kreis.  The benefit raised over $75,000 distributing over $3,000 to each theatre company.

Emerson produced the Los Angeles premieres of the newest play by Del Shores, This Side Of Crazy in January.  The Dallas Premiere has been postponed due to the pandemic. New dates will be announced in the future.

Taiwan International Queer Film Festival

Emerson spent six days in Taipei as A Very Sordid Wedding opened the festival and Southern Baptist Sissies and Sordid Lives screened as well as doing Q&As and leading a panel on Religion & Sexuality.
